So, how do Network licences work?
Network licensing is done over the internet. When you use a network license of SketchUp Pro, it will activate using the internet. When using a networked version of SketchUp Pro, a “seat” will be in use. After shutting down SketchUp Pro, the licence will be released over the internet for someone else in your organisation to use. So you can have as many installations of the application installed, but only as many “seats” running the app as you’ve purchased.
A networked version of SketchUp needs the internet to be able to start. If the internet goes down while you’re using it, SketchUp will keep running. Upon quitting, the “seat” will remain active until the internet comes back online.
